Raees seems to be the winner of the recent bolly-clash, as it is ready to enter the ‘100 crore club’ movie category. It has earned Rs 93 cr till Sunday and kept its position ahead of Kaabil whereas Kaabil just earned Rs 67.46 cr from its five-day collection.
Both the movies got released on January 25, on the eve of Republic day. Raees’s first-day opening was higher than that of the Kaabil. Raees is a Gangster saga story, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiquie and Mahira Khan. It has beautifully described the story of a bootlegger to the liquor king of Gujarat. All the actors have acted very well and were committed to their part of the role. Though the movie was featuring the Baadshah of Bollywood, the movie was able to grab some extra attention.
On the other hand, Kaabil is a sweet, romantic story in the first half, which turned into a revengeful story in the second half. Hrithik Roshan and Yami Goutam were in the lead role. The movie is all about the love story of two blind people, who were living happily in their dark world until misfortune knocks on their door. The death of Yami Goutam forced the hero to take the revenge on Villains.
Though both the movies were released on the same day, it is considered to be a clash. This clash hampered the overall collection of the movie. On Friday and Saturday, Raees earned 13.11 cr and 15.61 cr respectively whereas Kaabil 9.77 cr and 13.54 cr on the respective days. Many movie critics mentioned that this is due to the screen sharing problem as Raees got 60% of the screens and Kaabil remained with 40% of the screen.
But whatever it may, whether it’s good work, good story line up or hard work of all the actors, Raees seems to be the winner of the clash.
